Biography

PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor, the chair of social and organizational psychology, Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, Belarusian State University.

Education, labor and scientific career:

Yuliya S. Smirnova was born in 1978 in Minsk.

In 1995 - 2000 she was a student of the Belarusian State University, the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, psychological department (Qualification: psychologist, a lecturer in psychology).

In 2000 - 2004 she was a postgraduate student of the Belarusian State University (19.00.05 - Social Psychology).

In 2000 - 2001 she was the Head of Psychological Laboratory (the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, Belarusian State University).

In 2000 she became a lecturer in psychology, in 2008 – senior lecturer, in 2010 – Associate Professor, the chair of psychology (until 2020), the chair of social and organizational psychology (since 2020), the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, Belarusian State University.

In 2009 she defended a thesis "STUDENTS' PREJUDICES TOWARD REPRESENTATIVES OF STIGMATIZED GROUPS" (Scientific Adviser – Doctor of Psychology, Professor Vladimir A. Yanchuk).

An active participant of scientific and practical psychological conferences (since 2000).

The Chairman of the Trade Union Bureau of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences (since 2011), an active member оf BSU Trade Union Organization.
