Biography:
Kurilovich Natalya Vyatscheslavovna was born in Minsk. She graduated with honours from Minsk secondary school № 68 and in 1993 entered the Sociology Department of the Philosophy and Economics Faculty of the Belarusian State University. She graduated in 1998 and successfully passed the postgraduate course exams at the Sociology Department. On May, 2001 she defended a candidate's thesis "Methodological Aspects of Gender Analysis of Mass Media" ahead of schedule and become a Candidate of Sociology on "Theory, methodology and history of sociology" speciality.
On the September 1st, 2001 she was hired as a lecturer to the Sociology Department, in 2002 she became a senior lecturer and since 2006 she's been working there as an associate professor. She worked at examinational commission at the period of BSU entrance examinational campaigns. She also repeatedly participated at the carrying out the rehearsal and centralized testing.
She was a chairperson of the students and postgraduate students research work Council of the Philosophy and Social Studies Department from 2003 to 2007. She also was an acting deputy of the head of research work at the Sociology Department from 2004 to 2006.Since 2005 till 2007 she was working as an executive secretary of scientific and theoretical journal "Sociology". In 2008 she was awarded a letter of commendation on the occasion of 85th anniversary of the Belarusian State University. Since 2008 she's been working as a member of the editorial board of "Sociology" journal.
She is an author of more than 40 scientific works (including one monograph).
Sphere of scientific interests:
history, theory and methodology of sociological researches, gender research, sociology of education. She is giving such courses now: "sociology of education", "History of sociology", "General sociology".
