Biography:
V.K. Milkamanovich graduated from the medical faculty of the Minsk State Medical Institute (MGMI) in 1967. In 1971, he completed his postgraduate studies at the Department of Hospital Therapy of the Moscow State Medical Institute, and in 1972 he successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis.
Having worked for 38 years in the healthcare system of the Republic of Belarus, V.K. Milkamanovich went from a general practitioner at the Kruglyanskaya district hospital in the Mogilev region (1967-1969) to the chief physician of the 9th city clinical hospital in Minsk (1996-1999 g.g.).
From 1969 to 1971 – graduate student, from 1971 to 1980 – assistant, from 1981 to 1987 – associate professor at Moscow State Medical Institute, from 1989 to 1996 – Head of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases, Moscow State Medical Institute.
From 1987 to 1989, he worked as the head of the laboratory for the prevention of disability, VTE and rehabilitation at the Belarusian Research Institute for the Examination of Working Capacity and Labor Organization of Disabled Persons (Minsk).
From 1999-2004 – Associate Professor of the Department of Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation of the Belarusian Medical Academy, Postgraduate Education.
From 2005 to 2018 – Associate Professor of the Department of Social Work and Rehabilitation of the State University of Science and Technology of BSU, from 09/13/2018 to 09/02/2021. - Associate Professor of the Department of Social Work and Rehabilitation of the FFSN BSU, and from 09/02/2021 - Professor of the Department of Social Work and Rehabilitation of the FFSN BSU
From 1996 to 2000 he was a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. Awarded a Certificate of Honor from the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus for services in the development of legislation and parliamentarism for the implementation of the social policy of the Republic of Belarus in the field of health care. During his time at BSU, he was awarded a certificate of honor from the rector for high performance indicators (2009) and creative practical activities (2011).
Milkamanovich V.K., having extensive work experience and rich experience in medical, medical-social, pedagogical and public activities, regularly takes part in scientific events (seminars, meetings, republican and international conferences), is actively involved in the development of teaching aids, programs for teaching disciplines.
Over the past five years, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection has participated in the development of educational program documentation for advanced training courses for employees of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus for managers and specialists of TCSONs and boarding schools.
Milkamanovich V.K. carries out many years of scientific research work in the field of medical and medical-social prevention of diseases with a high risk of disability, medical-social adaptation and rehabilitation of seriously ill people and persons with disabilities, including children, as well as medical and social care for the elderly.
As part of the scientific topics of the department in the republican medical journal “Medical Knowledge” since 2012, Milkamanovich V.K. conducts two scientific and methodological sections: “Observation and care” and “School of self- and mutual help for professional emotional burnout.”
